When Women Welcome Women (as it was originally called) began, the women who oversaw its work formed a Non-Profit Trust. They ensured that WWW worked according to the Deed of Trust and were called Trustees. On 1 March, 1999, Women Welcome Women became a Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England, No. 3682702. The words World Wide were added to the name to reflect the organisation's global activity and the members of the Board of Trustees became known as Directors of the new company.

5W continues to operate as a Non-Profit Trust and the Directors still act as Trustees. Meet them here!
